The Kelsey Nalepa Scholarship Fund was established on May 19, 2017 with generous donations from the community to honor the memory of Kelsey Nalepa, an 8-year old member of League City Girls Softball Association who passed away from injuries sustained in a car accident on the way to her softball game. LCGSA along with Kelsey’s family and friends will strive to keep her bright light alive by encouraging and supporting female students who have made a positive impact on our community through sport, service and leadership.
Scholarship funds are made available through individual public contributions and dedicated fundraising efforts. All contributions to the scholarship fund are put in a separate fund and may only be used toward Kelsey Nalepa Memorial Scholarships and fundraising expenses. A Scholarship Committee will meet each year to determine the number and amount of scholarships to be awarded.
