TO REGISTER:
For returning players/families, click the LOGIN button at the top of the page and log in. In the Participants section on the My Account page, click the 1 Programs Available! button and complete the form.
For new players/families, click the REGISTER button to create an account with us, and then add your player's information. You can then follow the steps above to register for the season.
REVISED ELIGIBILITY AGE REQUIREMENT
For the 2024-2025 year, USA Softball has modified the age/division classifications.
Age Up Date: The new age up date is 9/1. See the chart below to find the correct division classification for your player. Example 1: a girl turns 9 on 8/31/24; she must start playing 10U for the Fall 2024 and Spring 2025 seasons. Example 2: a girl turns 9 on 9/1/24; she may remain down in 8U for the Fall 2024 and Spring 2025 seasons; she may also choose to play up (as she would have had to do in previous years) without having to fill out the Play Up/Down Request Form discussed in the next section.
Please note that these new USA Softball age classification rules will not apply to our Competitive Program teams, Dynasty. Age eligibility for Dynasty teams will be communicated by LCGSA before each season's tryout.
PLAY-UP/PLAY DOWN REQUESTS
If you would like to make a request to have your player play outside of her age-appropriate division, first register your player in the appropriate division for her age then fill out this PLAY-UP/DOWN REQUEST FORM.
Approval to play up or down will be made by the Board of Directors and will be based on player ability and space in the division. Your player may be asked to attend the player evaluation for both divisions, as applicable.
NOTE: Players are only eligible for Postseason in the Division in which they participate during the Spring Program, unless otherwise approved by the Board of Directors. Players playing down an age division will not be eligible for Postseason.
FALL PRACTICE/GAME FORMAT
Practice days/times are selected by the Manager. Practices may take place any day of the week. Games will take place on Sundays. Practices may be held at the Chester L. Davis Sportsplex, Lynn Gripon Park at Countryside, or other facilities/parks in the area at the manager's discretion. All 6U-8U-10U Games will be held at the Sportsplex. 12U-14U Teams will participate in DISTRICT 31 INTERLEAGUE PLAY and will play most/all games at other league parks within our area (Dickinson, Texas City, Santa Fe, or Galveston).
SPRING PRACTICE/GAME FORMAT
Practice days/times are selected by the Manager. Practices may take place any day of the week up until the start of games. After the start of games, practices will likely be limited to weekends due to field availability. Practices may be held at the Chester L. Davis Sportsplex, Lynn Gripon Park at Countryside, or other facilities/parks in the area at the manager's discretion. Games will take place Mondays through Saturdays. All 6U-8U-10U Games will be held at the Sportsplex. 12U will also play most/all games at the Sportsplex, but an occasional trip to other league parks is possible depending on the number of teams in this division. 14U Teams will participate in DISTRICT 31 INTERLEAGUE PLAY and will play at least half of their games at other league parks within our area (Dickinson, Texas City, Santa Fe, or Galveston).
